Thank you for expressing interest in Tiddlers Daycare!

We are a small, independent, private nursery providing high quality care that focuses on independence and sense of self. We implement a high quality curriculum for children aged 1-5. Read about the EYFS here. See below for our activity planning and implementation.

Our nursery, set a convenient distance from Finsbury Park station, has a large outdoor garden and two large rooms for both babies and toddlers. Children are encouraged to explore in our free flow environment, while also given the opportunity to engage in pre planned activities implemented by our experienced staff.

Our highly skilled staff will guide and support your child to reach their full potential in their early years and will ensure that they are ready to enter a school setting. Our staff are highly skilled with many years of experience in childcare, and have been recruited through the Safer Recruitment Guidelines outlined by OFSTED.

Our environment is stimulating and exciting, children will always have access to sand, water, and sensory play.

While our setting operates as one large room, we are able use our separate spaces to ensure that every child is getting individualised care and attention. With the new addition of ‘baby room’, children that are preparing for school are able to complete activities in a quiet environment, while babies enjoy stimulating activities. Our rooms are equipped with high quality resources such as books, tiny kitchens, art kits, and puzzles.

Children are able to enjoy exciting opportunities at the nursery, they are able to explore the local community, visiting local parks, shops and the Library. One parent from each family is also invited to attend our yearly day trip. We aim to go to new, exciting parts of the city where we can engage as a community. We attempt to get involved in our local community as much as possible by supporting our local sports to school. Our coach comes weekly with new and exciting equipment which encourages the development of gross and fine motor skills.

Every child is assigned a key person, this member of staff will be your direct contact in regards to your child’s learning journey. They will complete observations and termly assessments to ensure that your child is meeting their developmental milestones.

Opening Hours:

Monday to Friday 8-5:45, closed on public bank holidays and over Christmas break. Each year may differ depending on when the holidays fall.

Fees

5% discount whilst 2+ siblings are both in attendance. We ask that children do minimum of 2 consecutive days.

Additional days are charged at £114. Days should be booked as far in advance as possible. We also offer Emergency Childcare at this rate.

Full payment is taken at the time of booking. If cancelled with more than 24 hours notice, 50% fee will be refunded.

We wont be able to refund extra days when less than 24 hours notice has been given.

Bank / public holidays & INSET days are payable in full, as we still pay our staff. We are closed for a week over Christmas and New Year, therefore only charge for 51 weeks per annum.

Fees include all meals, snacks, nappies and local trips*. Fees are due in advance, and we issue invoices mid-month for the following month.

*local trips are free, when we have an arranged trip further afield, there may be a concession charge.

Unfortunately, there can be no refunds for sickness or holidays. Fee increases are calculated each year and are based on the previous year’s running costs.

Fees are updated annually and parents are given at least one month’s notice before fees change.

We accept the Government tax-free childcare as a full or partial payment method. We offer funded places for 3 and 4 year olds, starting the term after their third birthday.
